About me
Who Am I?
​
At my core, I am a book junkie who can't go past a new or used bookstore without going in. I knew I wanted to be a writer when I wrote Dudley Do-Right fanfiction at the age of ten.
​
Now, I'm a Canadian writer and editor with a BA in English Literature and a minor in Professional Writing.
​
Analyzing character motivation, getting lost in scenic descriptions, and finding Easter Eggs are just a few of the things I take great joy in when presented with a story. Every story is a world waiting to be discovered. I feel like a traveller, embarking on a great adventure and intrigued by this window into the author's mind. I love seeing where they take me.

Behind the Mask
In case you didn't notice, I love red and the Gothic style. I enjoy H. P. Lovecraft's work, poetry by the Romantics, Frankenstein and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Being a mystery lover, Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow holds a special place in my heart.
​
I am fascinated by psychology. As expected, my favorite detectives include Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys, Hercules Poirot, Enola Holmes and Sherlock Holmes. (I may or may not own a Houndstooth deerstalker.) Mysteries are my number-one passion in literature, although I do enjoy a wide range of fiction.

While I am an analytical person, I'm drawn to spirituality and Celtic magic. Being part Irish, I enjoy learning about the folklore and magic of the Emerald Isle. I get lost in all kinds of mythology, as well as history. Seeing the creativity one uses to weave history into a narrative of their own design amazes me every time.
Why i Do What I Do
Writing has had a bad rep for decades. It isn't a revered profession or one that immediately rakes in the bucks, so too many people are dissuaded from entering the industry. Others hold the belief that they don't have the skills or talent to use words and create stories.

As a writer, I've had people and establishments make me second-guess my career path, but I'm breaking the cycle. With my experience, I promise to:

Writing is more than a job; it's a passion that speaks to the soul. I believe in supporting writers and all artists, so we may bring beauty into the world, remember history, share our stories, and revel in the magic that we create.
